About Daleville, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Daleville, Indiana dates back to 1827 when the first plot of land, 320 acres, was sold. This land was occupied by 1830, and in 1838 the town was laid out and platted by town father Campbell Dale, from whom it takes its name. Daleville did not officially incorporate as a town until 1982, however, which makes it the newest town in the state. Today it has over 1,600 residents and ranks as one of the safest cities in the nation safer than 93.6 percent of all other cities in the U.S. Daleville was visited by at least one notorious criminal in the past, though in 1933 the town's Commercial Bank was robbed by John Dillinger, who got away with a grand total of $3,500.
Daleville has a typical upper Midwestern four-season climate, with cold winters that bring a moderate amount of snow and mild, pleasant springs and summers that bring a moderate amount of rain. The town's main annual event takes place in early October when temperatures hover in the mid-60s the Daleville Autumn Fest, which brings three days of live entertainment, food, rides, and craft vendors, and also features a parade, a car show, and a pet contest.
